College degrees and solid computer and communication skills are required. We will follow up in more detail to any qualified applicant. All inquiries will be held entirely confidential. Public Volunteers
We are in need of people to test some of our bikes and gear and serve as models for our products. If you live in San Francisco and have an interest in bikes and are not camera shy, please drop us a note and a photo. Professional women rather than extreme cyclists are of special interest.
Public Agents
We are building a national US sales and service organization that will be comprised of friendly, like-minded people in urban areas across the country. Basic bike assembly, service skills and a familiarity with local bike shops are requirements. These will be part time jobs for people with flexible schedules. To apply: Please fill out our questionnaire.
Models
We are looking for models for our web and print photography. We're looking for 'real people' (mortals) rather than super-models, but if you happen to inhabit both categories that's just fine. Men and women between the ages of 20 and 70 are ideal, but
as long as you have a friendly face, you're welcome to apply. Our
photo shoots will be fun, not stressful; and we are committed to our models' physical and mental well-being. No lycra; no fasting. Upcoming photo shoots: Check out the websites Copenhagen Cycle Chic, Vélocouture, and The Sartorialist and you'll see what we're after. More information here. We are a start-up and on a frugal budget, so we'll be looking especially for models who support our mission of getting more people on bikes and are willing to trade work for merchandise. Shoots will be February/March in San Francisco Bay Area and May/June in New York City. To apply: Please send a brief letter of interest and photo (under 3 MB) in jpeg format to: models@publicbikes.com
